As the Super Eagles gear up for their next encounter at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, there's a notable absence in the training ranks. Alhassan Yusuf, who played a crucial role in the team, didn't participate in full training following an incident in the previous match against Equatorial Guinea.

During the 1-1 draw on Sunday, Yusuf had to be stretchered off the field, leaving a concern about his availability for the upcoming clash against the Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, scheduled for Thursday.

In the midst of preparations, the Royal Antwerp midfielder's absence in training was evident, with Joe Aribo stepping in as his substitute in the 67th minute of the previous game.
