It was a sweet victory for Bayern Munich as they beat VfL Wolfsburg 2 goals to 1 in an action-pumping match.

Jamal Musiala opened the scoring for Bayern Munich with a header from Thomas Muller's cross. England captain Harry Kane extended the lead with a stunning strike from 25 yards out, showcasing his prowess in only his 15th Bundesliga game with the German club.

Maximilian Arnold provided hope for Wolfsburg just before halftime with a long-range effort, narrowing the deficit. In injury time, Arnold was thwarted in his attempt to level the score by Bayern's goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer.

Reflecting on his performance, Kane shared on social media, "Perfect way to sign off for the winter break! Have loved my first few months at Bayern and in Munich. Looking forward to a rest, then back in the new year to go again."

Manager Thomas Tuchel praised Kane's contributions, highlighting his defensive efforts and overall impact on the game. Tuchel described Kane as a "top personality, leader, top player - the complete package."

Kane's goal-scoring record is noteworthy, as he becomes the first player to score 21 Bundesliga goals in his first 15 games in the competition. This achievement surpasses Robert Lewandowski's tally of 20 goals after 15 games during the 2020-21 season.

Including his performances with Tottenham in the second half of the previous season, Kane has scored a total of 38 league goals in 2023, leading Europe's top five leagues. Additionally, with five assists, Kane has been directly involved in 26 Bundesliga goals this season, equaling the highest goal involvements for a player in the entire last season, achieved by Randal Kolo Muani.

Despite Kane's remarkable contributions, Bayern Munich heads into the winter break trailing surprise leaders Bayer Leverkusen by four points. Leverkusen, unbeaten in 25 games across all competitions, set a record for a German professional team's undefeated streak at the start of a season.

In their latest victory, Xabi Alonso's side defeated Bochum 4-0, with Patrik Schick scoring a hat-trick, marking his first three Bundesliga goals of the season.
